Sacramental Preparation
Sacramental Life
Saint Joseph is dedicated to fostering the sacramental life of our students, staff, and families. We offer weekly opportunities to participate in Mass and regular opportunities to return to the Lord in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We also provide frequent opportunities for students to deepen their devotional lives via class and school-wide Eucharistic Adoration and Processions, recitations of the Rosary and the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, Stations of the Cross (during Lent), and the freedom to participate as Altar Servers, Sacristans, and in our Choir/Schola.
Families of Saint Joseph students are always welcome to join us for our weekly Mass. Daily Mass is also available at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Learn more here.

Confirmation
Our Confirmation preparation at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church & School is formed by these principles:
Students participate in Confirmation through their parish. We recognize that our school pulls from a variety of different parishes. We ask all families to participate in Confirmation at their home parish, whether or not that parish is Saint Joseph.
Confirmation is primarily carried out through Small Group Discipleship. After spending much of the day learning and sitting at desks, we've found that small group formation allows for real human connection, meaningful discussions, and time for prayer.
Confirmation is the beginning of adult life in Christ. We want to equip our students to be lifelong Catholics engaged in the life of the Church. For this reason, we celebrate Confirmation in the fall after 18 months of preparation.
All 7th grade families of the parish will be contacted in January about important introductory meetings for the Confirmation program. Preparation runs from May of 7th grade through fall of 9th grade. For more information about this program, please visit the parish website at sjwsp.org/confirmation or email Anna Evans at aevans@sjwsp.org.
