Enrollment Process

Welcome to the Joyful Jaguar Family!

We are excited to welcome your family to Saint Joseph Catholic School! Enrollment is more than completing paperwork, it is the beginning of your family's journey as part of our joyful Catholic school community. Once your child has been accepted, there are a few important steps to complete before the first day of school. We are here to make the process as simple and smooth as possible.

1. Receive Your Acceptance

Once your application and required information have been reviewed, you will receive an email notifying you of your child's acceptance to Saint Joseph Catholic School. In some cases, additional information, records, or meetings may be needed before an enrollment decision can be finalized. Our school office will work with your family throughout the process. Accepted? Let's get started!

2. Complete Your Enrollment Forms

After receiving confirmation of acceptance, you will receive an email from TADS with instructions to return to your account and complete the enrollment section for each student. This is where you will provide the information we need to prepare for your child's arrival at Saint Joseph. Please take time to review all information carefully and complete each required form.

3. Complete Your Tuition Agreement

Once your enrollment information is ready, your family's tuition agreement will be prepared and made available through TADS. You will receive an email when your agreement is ready to review and complete. Tuition agreements must be completed and signed before your child can begin school at Saint Joseph Catholic School.

4. Prepare for the First Day!

You're officially on your way to becoming part of the Saint Joseph family! As the school year approaches, we will provide information to help your family prepare for a successful start. This may include information about school supplies, uniforms, transportation, lunch, before- and after-school care, and other new-student resources.

We want your family to feel prepared, welcomed, and excited for the year ahead.

We're Here to Help

If you have questions at any point during the enrollment process, please don't hesitate to reach out to our school office. Kindergarten Enrollment Requirements

Birth Verification

In Minnesota, all children entering kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 1. Saint Joseph Catholic School agrees with, and follows this policy.

Early Childhood Screening - Due August 1

Early childhood screening is mandatory for all in-coming Kindergarten students and is offered free of charge in the district where you live. State law requires that parents/guardians provide verification of early childhood screening for children entering Kindergarten. If you have not already done this screening, you need to contact the school district where you live and schedule an appointment. Note: most screening locations are closed during the summer.

Families living within District 197

  • If you live within District 197, Saint Joseph Catholic School will obtain a copy of your child’s screening from the 197 Early Learning Office. You do not need to send any paperwork to the school.

  • District 197 Early Learning and Family Resource Center: 651.403.8363

  • Click here for more information:  District 197 Early Childhood Screening

Families living outside of District 197
